At University School of the Lowcountry, we believe learning is a community effort. Every year we work with each of our students to identify the topics and activities that interest them most, and then we match them with a professional whose career centers on those areas of interest. Our students then spend the day “job shadowing” with a local professional to learn more about the career field and to gain some hands-on experience with the daily activities required to be successful.
In the past, our students have shadowed chefs, doctors, marketing consultants, fishing guides, veterinarians, interior designers, software engineers, architects, pilots, fashion designers, municipal judges, and many more.
If you would be interested showcasing your career by hosting a USL student for a day, please contact our Job Shadow Coordinator, T.J. Medlock.
