University School is for students who strive to be high-achieving, and we value most the student who is kind, hardworking, empathetic and intellectually curious. The student body ranges from students with grit and determination who are working hard to reach their full potential academically to well-rounded students who are dynamic leaders and mentors to academic prodigies who refine their gifts while advancing their social and emotional skills. The result is a unique and varied collection of students who benefit from an array of learning experiences, on and off campus, that open their hearts and minds. This also results in an individual who can thrive in a wide array of settings and can excel in working with all types of people.
Because of our prudent financial model, USL provides an oustanding educational experience that is a value. Families of all means send their curious, kind, and high-achieving children to USL, and our tuition reduction program makes this possible. USL is able to provide assistance to families whose financial resources cannot fully cover the cost of an independent school education. Around 25% of our families are awarded grants that reduce the cost of tuition. Please note that this is not a loan but a reduction in the tuition charged. For example, a grant that reduces tuition by $3000 could be all that is needed to make the USL experience possible. For some of our families, this is exactly the case. For others, they may qualify for tuition reduction in an amount of up to 90%.
University School welcomes applicants for current year transfers and for 2018-2019. Furthermore, we invite you to learn more about USL, to visit our campus, to see our classes in action, to have your child spend a school day with us, and to speak with our students, parents, and faculty. If you are ready to be part of the USL family, you can begin the admissions process here.
